PEMF Therapy | Before Your Session
A quick safety review for your comfort and well-being.
Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. Please review the information below before your PEMF session. You do not need to complete or sign this page. If anything applies to you, is inaccurate, or raises a question, please tell the team member providing your session before we begin.
What to expect
PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy is a non-invasive wellness service. You will sit or recline while a mat or applicator delivers electromagnetic pulses on or near your body. You may feel pulsing, tingling, warmth, or mild muscle sensations—or very little. Experiences vary, and results are not guaranteed.
Please tell your PEMF provider BEFORE treatment if:
-
You have a pacemaker, defibrillator, neurostimulator, insulin pump, cochlear implant, or another implanted electronic device.
-
You have metal implants, surgical hardware, metal fragments, or shrapnel.
-
You are pregnant, may be pregnant, or have a history of seizures or a significant neurological condition.
-
You have recently had surgery or hospitalization, have experienced a significant health change, or have any condition that could make electromagnetic exposure a concern.
-
Any of the information you previously gave us is no longer correct, or you are unsure whether PEMF is appropriate for you.
These concerns do not always mean you cannot receive PEMF, but our team must review them before proceeding.
During your session
-
Follow staff instructions about removing or moving phones, smartwatches, electronic devices, jewelry, and loose metal objects.
-
Let us know promptly if you feel uncomfortable, lightheaded, unwell, or would like to stop. You may ask questions or stop the session at any time.
Your verbal acknowledgment
Before starting, please let your provider know about any concern above or any information that needs updating. If nothing needs discussion, simply let the provider know you have reviewed this notice and are ready to proceed. No signature is required.
PEMF is offered for general wellness and supportive purposes, not as a substitute for necessary medical care. A standalone PEMF visit does not include a comprehensive medical evaluation. This notice supplements the clinic’s PEMF informed-consent process; it does not replace any consent required by Clinic policy.
