Primary Care at Synergy Natural Medicine Clinic
Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) are holistic primary care providers. Whether you feel sick or are just not feeling quite right, we assess health problems, determine the best way to treat them, and refer patients to a wide array of both MD and holistic specialist.
In terms of primary care, we diagnose and treat most acute conditions such as colds, viral/bacterial infections, digestive problems, colds, coughs, the flu and other everyday health problems. Our Naturopathic Doctors work closely with each patient to make sure they are responding appropriately to our care and only prescribe pharmaceutical drugs when they are medically necessary to effectuate care.
Naturopathic Medicine supports the body's natural healing and recovery processes by focusing on optimizing how the body works (i.e.physiology). This helps patients overcome their current health problem and helps prevent the problem from returning or getting worse in the future. Our treatment plans are a comprehensive, long-term approach to healthcare and Naturopathic Doctors have the tools to provide patients with the best health care available today.
Patients utilize our medical services in a variety of ways. For some patients and families, we are their only primary care doctor. Others see us from time to time when they have a particular health problem they want to try and resolve without prescription drugs or don't like the options their primary care doctor is giving them.
What sets us apart from your typical Doctors office?
Holistic Approach
By investing our time in getting to know our patients and assessing their health in the context of their diet, health habits and health story, we develop a deeper understanding of the root causes of their health problems. Most patient appointments are 30-60 minutes.
Personal Treatment Plan
At the end of a patient consultation, we provide patients with a personal treatment plan. The plan summarizes our recommended for care. This often includes diet & lifestyle changes, supplements, herbs and other holistic-based therapies. When you leave our Clinic, you have an actionable plan to get started.
Advanced Blood Chemistry Analysis - Functional blood chemistry analysis is a new way to assess standard bloodwork that gives us far greater insight into how your body is functioning and indications of early signs of disease. By assess which bodily systems (liver, kidneys, etc.) are not functioning properly we can address health problems early and more comprehensively; improving a patient's health in both the short term and longer term.
Treatment Options - We have a broad array of treatment options from holistic to conventional. Dietary supplements, herbs, nutraceuticals, vitamin/mineral injections and IVs, and a plethora of other natural therapies are available through our Clinic. If a health problem can be treated effectively with minimal use of drugs or without having to resort to surgery, we advise patients on what works and how best to treat it.
Specialty Diagnostic Tests - For many common health problems today, a patient's diet and nutrient status play a pivital role. When indicated, we order diagnostic tests to assess nutritional deficiencies, test for food sensitivities and metabolic disorders, and to evaluate gastrointestinal health to help patients recover from various diet-related diseases.
